Listening to other peoples ractions to the book.
Hearing what people have to say about the book in the lit circles it has been really interesting. I think that my view always changes after hearing what other people think. For instance I just thought that Holden was really immature at first and he was just naturally like that, but after talking to classmates they lead me to believe that Holden probably just wanted to keep his childhood. After reading further into the book it turns out that they were right. I think that the lit circles were really neat and a very good idea!
Confused
I guess the whole time I have been reading this book I have been really confused on a couple of things. I think that J.D. Salinger makes it so that you get a little bit confused and then he pulls you back on track by explaining it. But its really neat the way he does it because he doesn't just explain it right away you have to keep reading and eventually you will get it.
Holden and his Sitsta!
I think that Holden and Phoebe's relationship is very strong. They hold each other accountable for their actions and they get disappointed in each other because that's what siblings do. I think that they truly love each other and missed each other dearly. I wish I had this kind of relationship with my siblings. Our relationship is strong but not as strong as I would like.

Adult? Na probably not!
Holden is becoming an "adult" in these last few chapters. It seems that he is starting to do things that men do. Weather they are legal or not. For example when he was talking with the nuns and they were having troubles he was helping them out and being respectful. He even gave them money and didn't regret it. I guess living on his own and surviving would be another example because no kid would be able to go out and live on his own. I think that it is really interesting to see the conversations he gets in and the people he meets. It's even more interesting to hear what he thinks about how it went and how you think it went or how you would act in that situation. I think that Holden overall is an interesting character. I think that he has changed even from the first part of the book until now.

Is Holden Feeling extra lonely
I think that after reading chapters 8-11 that Holden is feeling extra lonely expecially after he moves out. It is really interesting to see how many people Holden thinks about calling. I dont think its the fact on who he talks to just that he talks to someone. A good example is when he was on the train and he was talking to Ernest Morrow's mom. He was telling the readers about how she had a sex appeal. I think that he just wants to be with someone because he even goes as far as to offer her a drink. I don't know I guess that I am rambleing on right now... Let me know what you think

Why was 6 afraid of 7?
So I was chillen in class today and was chewing my gum that had gummy stuff in it. We discussed and I as I was listening to a combination of Alex and Masons conversation and the classes conversation and it was quite interesting. But anyways maybe I should blog about what I need to blog about.
I thought it was really interesting on how Stradlater acted towards Holden after Holden had just done his homework. Instead of telling Holden thank you for doing my homework he instead decided that he would yell at Holden and pick on him even though he was already down. During the last two chapters (6&7) it seems as though the fights between the two boys was rather childish and not necessary. There was a lot of jealousy on Holden's part because I think he partially is looking out for Jane as a friend but yet likes her more than that... This book so far has been so jumpy and I am really excited to see where Holden heads after moving out... But until next time STAY COOL!
